 Great Outdoor Adventures
Session One
6-9 years old
(Girls Only) 

When learning about horses, you will not only learn about the animals themselves, their care, safety, and the basics of riding; but you will also learn about responsibility, patience, good work ethic and much more. There will also be other fun activities to enjoy including mindfulness activities, nutrition training, art therapy, horsemanship, basic riding lessons, equine facilitated learning , boating safety, creative arts and Anacostia River tours. Be sure to join us because you do not want to miss out on all the excitement and fun!

10-12 years

Giddy Up & Grow Spring Fling

Join us for our inaugural spring break kick-off! Families of all ages are welcome with registration. This program will feature the following stations:

  • Horsemanship and Basic Riding: This experience introduces the sensitive and curious ways of horses to the students  

  • Art & Storytime with Cowgirl Camryn: Meet the author of the Cowgirl Camryn book series and Encore the Mini Horse for storytime. Take home your very own horse art!

  • Mindfulness: Through a calming and inspirational yoga class, the students will learn about the purpose of yoga and meditation as well as how to include Mindfulness into their daily lives. 

  • Nutritional Literacy: The students will go on a nutritional journey that will help them make healthier choices.
