Our Mission

 The STAND Foundation ‘s mission is to improve the mental, social and physical development of underrepresented, underfunded and underserved individuals in the DMV area through an array of wellness programs including equine facilitated learning and equine therapy. The knowledge, skills, and confidence gained through equestrianism is our unique approach to enriching the quality of life and offering activities to encourage positive decision-making, healthy life skills and positive socialization.

With the support of our donors and volunteers, we provide year-round services for youth living in under-served and under-funded neighborhoods. We accomplish this through an array of wellness programming:

• Equestrian Everything (Equine Facilitated Learning, Horsemanship and basic riding instructions)

• Mindfulness activities

• Nutrition Education

• Art (Creative Arts & Therapeutic )
